![]() All rates quoted - except for camping and backpackers' accommodation - are per person per night and include accommodation and three meals a day, plus afternoon tea and tea and coffee at other times; short, guided walks in the vicinity of the lodge; government surtax and tourism levy. No singles supplement is charged. Children under 13 years sharing parents' room, half-price (Island and Riverside rooms only). Children under 3 years old pay only for food consumed.
Camping charges are per person per night, self-catering. Backpackers' charges are per room per night self-catering.
Prices do NOT include: Drinks, park entry fees (currently $10 per person per day and $3 per vehicle per day for non-residents); game scout hire charges ($10 per day) and activity charges.
We regret that we do NOT accept credit cards.
The following rates will apply from 14th April, 2013. We will try to maintain the same Malawi Kwacha prices (currently calculated at MK 400 to $1:00) but major exchange rate changes will necessitate alteration in the Kwacha rates.

Malawi citizen - MK 450 per day
Malawi resident - US$7 per day
Visitor - US$10 per day
Vehicle (normal saloon or 4x4 - higher charges apply to trucks) - US$3 per day
It is a requirement that an armed game scout accompanies any walking parties in the reserve. The charge is $10 per scout per day. Bua River Lodge will add this fee to your bill on behalf of DNPW and pay the revenue to the government monthly.
