How to get to Bua River Lodge
We are about 4 hours’ drive from Lilongwe and 3 hours from the town of Salima.
From Lilongwe
- Start on the M1. After about 82 km, take a right turn onto the Salima Road (M14).
- Before reaching Salima, turn left onto the M5 and follow this road to the town of Nkhotakota.
- From Nkhotakota, it is only a 40-minute drive to our lodge. Continue on the M5. After about 8 km, just after Lozi, turn left onto a dirt road. You will see a large African Parks sign for Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve.
- Follow the dirt road until you reach the park gate. Please check in and pay the park fees here.
- Go through the gate and follow the signs to our lodge (about a 5-minute drive).
Once in our concession area, take the first right and drive down to the Bua River, where you will be warmly welcomed by our Bua family.
