Good to know

Here’s a little extra information
we’d like to share.

Before you arrive at our lodge, here are a few helpful things to keep in mind. Life in the bush is a little different from the city — and that’s exactly what makes it special.

Wildlife is all around us, so please move carefully and always follow your guide’s instructions. At night, you may hear the sounds of nature right outside your room — a reminder that you are truly in the heart of the wild.

You may also come across snakes from time to time. Most are harmless and avoid humans, but it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings. We reconmend to wear closed shoes when walking, use a flashlight at night, and never approach or disturb any wildlife. Our staff is trained to handle these situations, so if you spot a snake, simply let us know.

We recommend light, neutral clothing for game drives, as well as a hat, sunscreen, and a good pair of binoculars. Evenings can be cooler, so packing a warm layer is a good idea.

Our aim is to give you an unforgettable, authentic, wilderness experience while keeping you safe and comfortable. Relax, enjoy, and let the rhythm of nature guide your days.

Tourism and visiting Malawi

Malawi is often called the “Warm Heart of Africa”, and it truly lives up to the name. The country may be small, but it offers a lot to discover. The highlight is Lake Malawi, a vast stretch of clear water where you can swim, snorkel, or relax on sandy shores.

Wildlife is another big draw. In parks like Liwonde and Majete you can see the Big Five, while the rolling highlands of Nyika feel almost like another continent. For hikers, Mount Mulanje is a rewarding challenge with breathtaking views.

Culture is everywhere too, from traditional dances and lively markets to historic sites like Livingstonia. And no matter where you go, you’re likely to be welcomed with warmth and a smile.

Malawi isn’t crowded with tourists, which makes traveling here feel personal, relaxed, and genuine.
